Workshop: One-of-a-kind Screenprinting Techniques

A hands-on screenprinting workshop, lead by visiting artist, Suzie Smith.

When: Sunday June 17th . 12 – 4pm
Where: Articulate Ink Press – 1843 Hamilton St.

Looking at how different print based artists incorporate spontaneity and alternative process into their work, this workshop demonstrates methods for creating one-of-a-kind prints. By moving, layering, and repeating a small amount of shapes/ images participants will create their own series of unique prints.

Advanced registration and a small fee for materials is required. Space is limited to 9 participants.

SUZIE SMITH is an interdisciplinary artist based in Winnipeg. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Concordia University in 2004 and a Master of Fine Arts from Glasgow School of Art in 2011. She has shown both nationally and internationally in group shows and has had solo exhibitions in Canada including at Arprim (Montreal), Malaspina Printmakers (Vancouver), Open Studio (Toronto) and Ace Art (Winnipeg). Primarily working in print media, her work explores ideas of transformation, representation and creative process.
